A research project «Russia surprises: statistics and sociology against myths and fiction» was launched with the support of the ISEPR Foundation
Presentation of the «Russia surprises» research project took place in the conference hall of the Hotel National. It is a collaboration project of the Russian Public Opinion Research Center, Public Opinion Foundation, Market Research Agency GfK RUS and the Institute for Socioeconomic and Political Research (the ISEPR Foundation).
The project aims at providing our society with the objective information about the pace and direction of our country’s development for the last 10-15 years. Project’s aim is to show how has our country and society changed since the 1990s from today’s perspective.
This project was made possible due to the grant support of the Institute for Socioeconomic and Political Research (the ISEPR Foundation).
Yekaterina Kurbangaleeva, CEO at the Foundation, said: «It’s rare when competing structures work together on one project and share very important data. This, however, is just one of the reasons why our Foundation decided to finance this project. Besides, people are tired from the momentary sociology, more deep studies are requested. We would like this project to fulfill this need.»
The webpage of the Russia Surprises project () provides a summary made in a very accessible and convenient form of what has changed in the country and society for the past decades. Through the project Internet users are going to have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with objective facts about the dynamics of country’s development in a number of areas and decide for themselves whether they should believe common myths or not.
